JACKSON COUNTY- The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to temporarily reduce State Road 135 to one lane for slide repairs in Freetown.
On or after Monday, August 18, temporary traffic signals will be placed on S.R. 135 just south of the State Road 58 junction near Kiper Creek, reducing S.R. 135 to one 10-foot lane.

Temporary traffic signals are being installed to prevent motorists from using southbound S.R. 135 prior to the start of slide correction work.
State Road 135 will remain reduced to one lane until slide correction work begins and will be closed at the start of construction. Additional information and updates will be provided as they become available before the start of the closure.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
