BEDFORD— The Bedford Planning Commission on Tuesday approved a request from the William A. Polling Trust to subdivide a 40.5-acre parcel at Glen Meadows following a public hearing at the City Concourse.
The subdivision plan calls for the Meadowlake Community — ultimately the homeowners association — to retain Lot 1, which contains the neighborhood’s lake and a drainage way used for stormwater control.
The proposal first came before the commission in July, when Corey Allen, representing the Polling Trust, explained that several trust properties had incorrect acreage listed in past records, including the Glen Meadows parcel being divided. With the passing of William Polling, the trust intends to divide and sell the property.
At that time, Allen said the final plat was not ready for approval but sought feedback from residents and commissioners. He addressed questions about stormwater runoff and the property’s future use, and the matter was tabled until Tuesday’s meeting.
At the Aug. 12 meeting, Allen again presented the subdivision plan and addressed concerns about property measurements, working directly with a community member to resolve the issue.
The commission voted unanimously to approve the subdivision.
