
Jeremy C. Hopkins, 43, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 14, 1982, in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Gary L. and Rhonda (Gasaway) Hopkins.
Jeremy was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be missed beyond measure. Jeremy worked as an Operations Center Coordinator for 24 years at NSA Crane; Jeremy was a volunteer fire fighter for Richland Taylor and Bloomfield Fire Departments from 2001 to 2011, he was a loyal Chicago Bears fan, sprint car fan, loved hiking with the boys and his wife, he enjoyed cooking, singing, and being a Dog Papaw to his best furry friend, Snickers.
Surviving relatives include his beloved wife, Mindy Hopkins, his two sons, Jaxson Hopkins, Max Hopkins, his parents, Gary and Rhonda Hopkins, one sister, Jennifer (Jason) Miller, one brother-in-law, Steve Mowery, a sister-in-law, Sarah Stube, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Melissa and Steve Mowery, and several nieces and nephews.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the hour of service on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held on Sunday, August 10, at 2:00 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Roach officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made in care of Mindy Hopkins for the Boys’ education fund.
