BEDFORD— For those who live for the roar of the crowd under the Friday night lights, WBIW has a rare opportunity to step into the broadcast booth and become the voice of Bedford North Lawrence High School football this fall.
The station is now hiring a part-time BNL Football Sportscaster to provide live play-by-play coverage of the 2025 season. The role offers a chance to travel with the Stars, capture the energy of each game, and deliver it to listeners across Lawrence County and beyond.
The position is paid per game and includes mileage reimbursement. The sportscaster will be responsible for attending and broadcasting all Friday night games — home and away — throughout the season, offering a complete game-day experience for fans who can’t make it to the stadium.
WBIW will provide professional-grade broadcast equipment and support from its experienced media team. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a passion for local sports and engaging storytelling. Prior play-by-play experience is preferred, but not required. A demo reel showcasing vocal delivery, pacing, and sports knowledge is highly encouraged.
With a strong following for BNL football and a deep-rooted community connection, the role promises both visibility and impact. For many listeners, these broadcasts are their primary way to stay connected to the team, whether they’re alumni, relatives, or simply local football fans.
