SULLIVAN COUNTY- Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation in July 2025, after receiving information from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department that a minor female had been sexually exploited.
The Investigation revealed that Marie D. Austin, age 28, of Sullivan, Indiana, allegedly had been engaging in sexual exploitation of a minor.
After reviewing the investigation, Sullivan County Prosecutor Ann Mischler issued an arrest warrant on July 31, 2025. Austin was arrested by Master Trooper Detective Angie Hahn without incident and taken to the Sullivan County Jail. No bond allowed.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
