Janet Lorene Cosby, 64, of Bedford, passed away at 10:42 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital.
She passed into the arms of our Savior after many long, hard battles. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and walked in a deep degree of love.
Born December 3, 1960, she was the daughter of Myron and Wanda Moore. She married Thomas “Tom” Cosby, Sr., on December 8, 1978. They celebrated 46 years of marriage together. Her family deeply loved Janet. She was a great mother to her three children. A mother full of love, her only desire was to raise and love her kids and love her husband. That’s all Janet ever wanted in life: a family full of love.
Survivors include two daughters, Caroline (Delmer) and Amanda (Mark); a son, Thomas, Jr. (Melinda); grandchildren, Aaron, Amanda, Brayden, and Jayden; great-grandchildren, Addy and Bentley; a brother, Lloyd Moore (Carol); and a sister, Evelyn Scanlan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Wanda; brothers, Eddie and Howard; a brother-in-law, Joe; and a nephew, David.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st, at Springville Cemetery West.
