BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners have approved a bid from Bunkum Valley Roofing of Odon, Indiana, for $113,403 to replace the flat roof at the Lawrence County Health Department and the adjacent former Public Defenders’ office.
According to Commissioner Jeff McKnight, the county received three bids for the project, with Bunkum Valley Roofing submitting the lowest offer. “It was significantly lower than the others,” McKnight stated, highlighting the competitive nature of the bidding process.
The replacement of the flat roof is a necessary maintenance project to ensure the integrity and functionality of these vital county facilities. The approval of this bid allows the project to move forward, addressing infrastructure needs within Lawrence County.
