BLOOMINGTON– Detectives with the Bloomington Police Department arrested nine individuals on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing and use in and around Seminary Park.
Investigators had focused efforts for several weeks to identify those responsible for illegal drug activities in the area.
As a result of these investigations, the following individuals were taken into custody:
- Joshua A. Stump, 40: Facing charges including two counts of dealing methamphetamine, Level 2 felony, dealing a controlled substance, Level 3 felony, two counts of dealing methamphetamine, Level 3 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Daniel D. Floyd, 46: Charged with dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony.
- Jason F. Johnson, 55: Charged with two counts of dealing a cocaine or a narcotic drug, Level 4 felony, possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony, possession of a controlled substance. Class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Class C misdemeanor.
- William N. Potter, 51: Charged with dealing methamphetamine. Level 4 felony, possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, Level 6 felony, two counts of legend drug deception, Level 6 felony, Unlawful possession of a syringe. Level 6 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Class C misdemeanor.
- Anthony L. Sykes, 40: Charged with dealing a controlled substance, Level 5 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class C misdemeanor.
- William A. Connor, 28: Charged with unlawful possession of a syringe, Level 6 felony.
- Donald J. Haviland, 53: Charged with dealing marijuana, Class A misdemeanor and possession of marijuana. Class B misdemeanor.
- Mark E. Lake, 54: Charged with Possession of Marijuana (Class B misdemeanor).
Detectives stated they will continue their investigations into those involved in selling and using dangerous drugs near City parks, and further arrests are anticipated shortly.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
