BEDFORD— The Bedford Young Professionals, in partnership with the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, has announced the recipients of its 2025 “4 Under 40” Awards, recognizing four individuals under the age of 40 for their professional accomplishments, community involvement, and leadership.
The 2025 honorees are:
- Sierra Bell – Bell is recognized for her achievements in business and leadership in the local community. She has been active in various civic initiatives and professional development efforts in Bedford.
- Kody Emmons – Emmons serves as an officer with the Bedford Police Department. His work in public safety and dedication to community service contributed to his selection for the award.
- Jessica Myers – Myers is known for her entrepreneurial and professional contributions in Lawrence County. Her involvement in local business development and community outreach played a role in her recognition.
- Ashley Gilstrap – Gilstrap is a community leader and advocate for youth development. She is associated with the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County and has been involved in numerous programs aimed at supporting children and families.
The “4 Under 40” Awards program highlights individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 who live, work, or own a business in Lawrence County and have demonstrated excellence in their careers, commitment to their community, and potential for continued leadership. Nominations were collected earlier this summer, and the winners were selected by a review panel coordinated through the Chamber.
The award recipients will be honored at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce’s 109th Annual Dinner, scheduled for Wednesday, August 14. The Chamber’s annual dinner is the organization’s premier event, bringing together business leaders and community members for an evening of recognition and networking.
The Bedford Young Professionals is a group affiliated with the Chamber that focuses on engaging and retaining young talent in the area through professional development, networking, and community involvement. The “4 Under 40” Awards have become a key initiative for promoting emerging leaders in the Bedford region.
