Wilma Jackson, 78 of Bedford, passed away on July 18, 2025, at IU Health in Bloomington.
Wilma was born in Bedford on November 2, 1946, to George and Jewell (Gilstrap) Martin. Wilma married David Jackson on February 24, 1984, and he survives. Wilma worked in Food service, which included Snow’s Drive-in, Paoli Peaks, the Red Barrel, IU Sorority House, and Stonebridge Health Campus.
Survivors include her husband, David Jackson of Bedford, stepson, Jeremy (Kerin) Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Mike Martin of Indianapolis, and Roger Martin of Heltonville.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Chester Nelson, Kim Herod, and Richie Carmichael, and one brother, Bill Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Jackson officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
