Bedford woman arrested on warrant alleging attempted home entry, intoxication, and disorderly conduct

BEDFORD – The Bedford Police Department arrested a woman after a warrant was issued for her arrest following an incident on July 5, 2025, involving alleged attempted residential entry, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.

Zenaida A. Rosales

Upon arrival, Sgt. T. Gerkin located a female, later identified as Zenaida Aliah Rosales, 21, of Bedford, at the front door. The resident was reportedly screaming, believing someone was inside her house. Officers detained Rosales and conducted a security sweep, confirming no unauthorized individuals were in the residence.

During the incident, Rosales allegedly began screaming and yelling. When questioned, she reportedly provided confused answers about her location, initially believing she was in Bloomington and later claiming to be at a fire station in Columbus. Rosales admitted to being on medication (Xanax and Klonopin) and consuming alcohol. A portable breath test administered by Officer Duprey showed her blood alcohol content at 0.187.

Rosales was released to EMS personnel due to her inability to stand unsupported and was transported to IU Health Bedford, as she was deemed unsafe for immediate transport to jail.

All statements and events were captured on video.

Based on these facts, Officer Duprey states in the affidavit that there was probable cause to believe Zenaida Rosales committed the crimes of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and attempted residential entry. An arrest warrant was requested, and she was detained on Saturday, July 19th.

A Probable Cause Affidavit outlines the initial findings and allegations that led to an arrest. Criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
