MORGAN CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor OLCO, Inc., is scheduled to close State Road 252 over an unnamed tributary to Oliver Creek on or after Monday, July 28, to complete a small structure replacement project just west of Morgantown.

The closure will take place between South Whetstine Road and Sedwick Road, approximately one mile west of Morgantown. State Road 252 is expected to reopen in early September, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows State Road 135 to State Road 44 back to State Road 252.
This project is part of a contract awarded to OLCO in December 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
