CITRUS COUNTY, FL – Jerry Wayne Ford, a local Lawrence County businessman, was arrested in Citrus County, Florida, on July 4 at approximately 10:27 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery, a first-degree misdemeanor in Florida.
According to court reports, Ford had been consuming alcohol before the incident. He made an initial court appearance on July 5 and was subsequently released after posting a $500 bond. A protective order was issued as part of his release conditions.
However, Ford reportedly violated that protective order, leading to his re-arrest on July 6 at 3:48 p.m. He is currently being held without bond.
Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
