INDIANA — A growing trend among farmers to expand deductions for residual fertilizer acquired with farmland is raising questions about applicable tax law and potential risks. To address these complex issues, the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation at Iowa State University will host a webinar titled “Excess Fertility Deductions and the Farm.”
The webinar, scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern, will feature presentations by Kristine Tidgren and Kristiana Coutu. They will review the current legal framework surrounding this deduction and delve into the numerous unanswered questions that remain.
