CROWN POINT – The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA) has announced the appointment of Teresa (Teri) Wallace as treasurer to the board.

Wallace, a managing partner with Merrillville-based Wallace Consulting LLC, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role. She holds degrees in business administration, human services, and psychology. Having served on NWIIWA’s board for two years, Wallace initially became involved with the organization as a professional member, noting she was drawn to its mission of empowering women and fostering leadership across the region.
“I quickly found a home within the organization by actively participating with the Events & Education Committee, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible professionals and contribute to impactful programming,” she said. “Over time, my involvement deepened. I was honored to be voted in as Chair of the committee, and soon after, I was invited to serve on the Board of Directors.”
Andrea M. Pearman, executive director of NWIIWA, said that Wallace embodies the true spirit of the organization, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the personal and professional advancement of women in the region.
“Teri not only brings her impressive background in finance and accounting, but she also represents the very core mission of NWIIWA with a tireless willingness to elevate and support women across all industries,” said Pearman. “We are incredibly grateful for her dedication to the organization and are honored to have her serve in this leadership role.”
Licensed by the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent, Wallace is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA). She holds several certifications in Quickbooks and Accounting. She has operated several small businesses and volunteers with community organizations, including the Parent Teacher Organization and Band Boosters at her children’s schools, where she has held treasurer positions.
“It’s been an inspiring journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that continues to support, challenge, and uplift one another,” said Wallace. “I’m proud to serve as treasurer and to help steward resources that allow us to keep creating opportunities, building connections, and recognizing the remarkable women who shape Northwest Indiana.”
