Justin Lane Flynn, 18, of Bedford, passed away at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Born November 3, 2006, in Bloomington, he was the son of Joshua Flynn and Megan Lane.
Justin worked at McAlister’s and Blue Spring Caverns. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. His lifelong dream was to be a police officer. He had recently been invited to ride along with Lawrence County officers. He was a friend to many and loved by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Joshua Flynn and Megan Lane both of Springville, his paternal grandparents Lowell R. and Renae Flynn of Springville; his maternal grandparents, Michael and Tessa Lane of Springville; his sister Maleaha Lane of Springville; aunts and uncles Shannon and Lee Godbey of Mitchell, Kayla and Joseph Fish of Springville, Dustin Covey of Lyons, IN; cousins, Leo, Logan, Don, and Wesley Fish, Mikey Godbey, Christian, and Ivy Goen, great-grandparents, Lowell and Brenda Flynn, Mary Brewer, and Susan Beavers; the love of his life, Liberty Bates; his friends Alex, Clayton, Caden, Trenton, Cohen, Skylar, Aiden, Trace, Branson, Payton, Keaton, Roy, Corbin, Beckham, Dax, and C. J.; and his faithful furry companion Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Debbie Lane, his uncle Michael (Butch) Lane, and his great grandparents RonnieBrewer and Thelma Carter, and Michael Lane.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 28th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Reno Bates and Brother Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
