Evenflo recalls Titan 65 child seats due to incorrect instruction manuals

BEDFORD – Evenflo Company, Inc. has announced a recall of specific Titan 65 child seats (model number 3712198) manufactured between March 17, 2025, and May 1, 2025. The recall, identified by NHTSA Recall ID Number 25C008, is due to the possibility that these child seats may have been packaged with an incorrect instruction manual.

According to Evenflo, the presence of an incorrect instruction manual means these child seats and travel systems fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.” This non-compliance poses a significant safety risk: a child seat installed using incorrect instructions could lead to improper installation and an improperly restrained child, thereby increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Evenflo has stated it will directly mail owners information on how to inspect their child seat’s instruction manual and, if necessary, how to obtain a correct replacement, free of charge. Owner notification letters are anticipated to be mailed out by July 15, 2025.

Owners of the affected Evenflo Titan 65 child seats can contact Evenflo customer service directly for more information or assistance at 1-800-233-5921.
