BEDFORD- On June 12, 2025, a Bedford man was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections by Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline after failing to comply with the terms of his probation.

On October 6, 2022, as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana, Elijah Wright pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, Resisting Law Enforcement, a Level 6 felony, and Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle, a Class B misdemeanor.
He was originally sentenced to 910 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections and was ordered to serve 545 days on supervised probation in exchange for his guilty plea. However, after failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his probation, on June 12, 2025, the Hon. Judge Cline sentenced Elijah Wright to 540 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections and terminated his probation unsuccessfully. The State was represented by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kristen Meza.
