MITCHELL — The Mitchell Community Public Library will host a special visit from Iditarod musher Karen Land and her sled dog Noggin on Tuesday, June 24 at 4 p.m., offering a unique opportunity for families and adventure enthusiasts to learn about racing through the Alaskan wilderness.

Land, a three-time Iditarod competitor, will share stories of her experiences navigating one of the world’s most grueling dog sled races. Attendees will meet Noggin, her energetic and beloved canine partner, and learn about the training, teamwork, and determination it takes to compete in the 1,000-mile trek across Alaska.
The free program aims to inspire and educate children and adults alike, providing a behind-the-scenes look into dog mushing and life in the far north.
