Greater Bloomington Chamber seeks community award nominations ahead of 110th Annual Meeting

BLOOMINGTON— The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its 2025 Community Awards, which will be presented during the organization’s 110th Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11.

Each year, the Chamber honors individuals, businesses, and organizations that have gone above and beyond in service, leadership, and impact within the Bloomington and Monroe County community. Nominations are now open for awards that spotlight exceptional volunteerism, innovation, and civic contribution.

The 2025 award categories include:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Honors an individual whose lasting contributions have left a measurable impact on the community.
  • New Business of the Year – Recognizes a standout business or organization established within the past five years.
  • Business of the Year – Honors a business or organization with more than five years of outstanding performance and service.
  • Community Anchor Award – Celebrates an entity that has served as a steady, positive influence in the community over time.
  • 4 Under 40 Awards – Highlights four young professionals under 40 years of age who show exemplary leadership and community engagement.
  • Outstanding Educator Awards – Recognizes a dedicated educator, counselor, administrator, or staff member from Monroe County Community School Corporation or Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation.

Nominees must be members of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce or employed by a member business or organization to be eligible. The only exception is the “4 Under 40” category, which is open to non-members.

Each nomination must be submitted individually and include detailed supporting information. An independent review committee will make the final selections based solely on nomination forms.
