Branchville man sentenced to Indiana Department of Corrections for probation violation

BEDFORDOn June 12, 2025, Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline sentenced a Branchville man to the Indiana Department of Corrections after he failed to comply with the terms of his probation.

On September 22, 2022, Nathan Padgett pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, as part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana. In exchange for his guilty plea, he was originally sentenced to 910 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections with 882 days suspended and ordered to serve 730 days on supervised release probation.

However, on June 12, 2025, after failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his probation, the Hon. Judge Cline sentenced Nathan Padgett to 880 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections and terminated his probation unsuccessfully. The State was represented by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kristen Meza.
