Hoosier Uplands announces 2025-2026 high school scholarship recipients

LAWRENCE CO. – Hoosier Uplands has announced the recipients of its High School Scholarship program for the 2025-2026 school year, awarding $1,200 to eleven high school seniors across five counties. These students were selected by their respective high school scholarship committees or foundations within Crawford, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, and Washington Counties.

The 2025-2026 scholarship recipients are:

  • Crawford County: Jayla Berry from Crawford County High School, attending Ball State University.
  • Lawrence County: Baylee Pickett from Bedford North Lawrence High School and Ethan Gerkin from Mitchell High School, both attending Ivy Tech Community College.
  • Martin County: Kylie Wohlgemuth from Loogootee High School, attending Vincennes University, and Colton Gibson from Shoals High School, attending the University of Southern Indiana.
  • Orange County: Jayden Blanton from Orleans High School, attending Purdue University; Jaxson Reynolds from Paoli High School, attending Taylor University; and Averlea Gehl from Springs Valley High School, attending the University of Southern Indiana.
  • Washington County: Autumn Brown from Eastern High School, attending the University of Louisville; Trinity Richardson from Salem High School, attending Grace College; and Landon Holloway from West Washington High School, attending Indiana University Southeast.
