GREENE CO. – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved a disaster declaration for Indiana (IN-21112), making federal assistance available to residents and businesses impacted by the recent tornado.
This declaration primarily covers Greene County and extends to the contiguous counties of Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe, Morgan, and Owen.
Under this SBA Agency Declaration, eligible individuals and entities in both primary and contiguous counties can apply for two types of disaster loans:
- Physical Damage Disaster Loans: Available for homes and businesses.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Available for businesses.
A Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) is being established to assist applicants. It will be located at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2700 E Rogers Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401. The DLOC’s opening hours are pending confirmation, but preparations are underway to open as early as Tuesday, June 3rd, pending state agreement.
