PAOLI – Two men were arrested on drug charges Thursday in Paoli after a traffic stop for a headlight violation escalated into a high-risk vehicle stop and the discovery of illegal substances.

According to Paoli Police, an officer initiated a stop after observing a vehicle with a headlight out. The car, however, pulled into a driveway before rapidly accelerating down it. Officers then conducted a “high-risk stop” on the vehicle, taking the driver, Randy Burress, and his passenger, Sean Edmonds, into custody.
During a search, officers reportedly found nearly 43 grams of methamphetamine, a syringe, a legend drug (a prescription-only medication), and baggies.
Randy Burress faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of a legend drug, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and being a habitual offender out on parole.
Sean Edmonds was arrested on charges of dealing meth, possession of meth and being a habitual offender out on partol.
