MITCHELL- As the school year draws to a close, the Mitchell High School Class of 2025 is looking ahead to graduation and the chance to celebrate all they’ve accomplished. Throughout their high school journey, these seniors have made their mark through academic success, athletic achievements, and a strong commitment to serving their community. Now, with the future in sight, graduates are preparing to take their next steps—whether that means heading to college, learning a trade, joining the military, or starting their careers—carrying the lessons and memories from Mitchell High School with them.

Madelyn Krout
Senior Spotlight: Madelyn has been an active and dedicated musician, performing in marching band, pep band, concert band, jazz club, and the Bedford Community Band. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Madelyn has recently taken up learning the hurdy-gurdy, adding a unique twist to an already impressive musical journey.
Madelyn will be attending Trine University this fall, where she will pursue a double major in Forensic Science and Biochemistry.

Jorja Lamm
Senior Spotlight: Throughout high school, Jorja stayed busy with a wide range of activities, from dancing on the Stingerz dance team to playing basketball, running track, and serving as the Football Manager. She was also a peer leader and Bluejacket Leader, showing her dedication to helping others. Jorja actively participated in JAG, Student Council, Envirothon, and Spanish Club, all while maintaining a strong academic focus. Outside of school, Jorja loves to be outdoors, whether it’s practicing gymnastics, mushroom hunting, fishing, or finding animals in nature. She also enjoys spending time with babies and kids—and of course, indulging in her love for Taco Bell.
Jorja plans to attend Vincennes University to study Conservation Law. Her dream is to one day become a Conservation Officer

Shelby McClintock
Senior Spotlight: Shelby has been actively involved at MHS through a variety of extracurricular activities, including Academic Team, Fresh Start, Amnesty International, Science Olympiad, Envirothon, and National Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys reading and offers free tutoring to elementary-aged children.
Shelby will graduate from high school having already earned an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech. She plans to continue her education at Indiana University, majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Social Science & Medicine on a pre-med track.

Kaylee McPherson
Senior Spotlight: Kaylee is Miss Hoosier Heritage’s Teen 2025 through the Miss America Opportunity and has been active in pageantry for seven years. A passionate advocate for teen substance abuse awareness and recovery, she’s deeply involved in her community—creating donation baskets for local shelters, organizing a food drive that donated 528 pounds to Hoosier Hills Food Bank, and serving as a judge for the 2025 Dogwood Festival pageant and baby contest. In her free time, Kaylee enjoys crafting, cooking, and collecting rubber ducks for her Jeep.
Kaylee is excited to begin her next chapter at Ivy Tech this fall, where she will study Business Administration. While pursuing her degree, she will continue working full-time as a leasing consultant with Renaissance Rentals.

Ian Norrington
Senior Spotlight: Ian has been involved in a variety of activities throughout high school, including wrestling, Academic Team, and Boy Scouts. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, reflecting his leadership and commitment to service.
Ian plans to attend Ball State University to major in Architecture.

Stuart Payton
Senior Spotlight: Stuart enjoys staying busy with work, hanging out with friends, and diving into video games in his free time.
Stuart plans to attend Ivy Tech this fall to study Cyber Security.

Corbin Peters
Senior Spotlight: Corbin was a dedicated member of the wrestling team all four years of high school, showing grit and determination on the mat. When he’s not training, he enjoys hitting the gym to stay in shape and gaming on his computer for some well-earned downtime. A balance of strength and strategy defines his journey both in and out of school.
He plans to attend trade school and looks forward to learning the skills needed to operate heavy equipment.

Mya Porter
Senior Spotlight: Mya has always been dedicated to helping others, and her passion for healthcare is clear through her involvement in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), her favorite and most active club. She also demonstrated her commitment to academic excellence as a proud member of the National Honor Society.
Mya plans to attend Ivy Tech to pursue a degree in nursing, with the goal of transferring to a university to earn her bachelor’s—and possibly a master’s—degree in the field.

KayLynn Robbins
Senior Spotlight: During her time in high school, KayLynn was involved in both band and wrestling during her freshman and sophomore years, showing her versatility, dedication, and strong work ethic. With a deep love for animals and a passion for science, she’s ready to take on the challenge of veterinary school and make a lasting impact.
KayLynn is headed to Wright State University to major in biology on the Pre-Vet track, taking the first steps toward her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

Lily Russell
Senior Spotlight: She is a dedicated performer and scholar who shines both on and off the stage. She dances with the Dazzlers Dance Center, competes on the Academic Team, and balances it all while working at Hibbett Sports. Her drive and passion are sure to take her far—keep reaching for the stars.
She plans to attend Indiana University, where she will major in Criminal Justice and minor in Art.
