WASHINGTON – A Washington Police Department detective’s investigation into the recent burglary at Stars Smoke Shop on Highway 57 culminated in an arrest following a search warrant served at a residence in the 700 block of Center Street.
The warrant, obtained by the detective, led to the seizure of multiple items believed to be connected to the crime.
As a result of this investigation, 39-year-old William Burris was arrested and faces charges of burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property.
Additional Washington Police Department officers and detectives, a Washington Police Crime Scene investigator, and a Daviess County Sheriff’s Office detective assisted in this investigation and the execution of the search warrant.
