BROWN CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc., is scheduled to begin culvert replacement work on State Road 46 in Brown County on or after Monday, June 2.
Two culvert replacements will take place on S.R. 46, located just over three miles east of Nashville, between State Road 135 and Mt. Liberty Road. Crews will begin work at the far east culvert near Old State Road 46. Following the completion of the far east culvert, crews will replace the far west culvert near State Road 135.
Weather permitting, the overall work is expected to be completed in late August. Temporary traffic signals will be used while work is in progress.
This work is part of a contract awarded to E&B in February 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
