Odon man arrested for OWI in West Baden

WEST BADEN SPRINGS– A Daviess County man was arrested early Sunday morning, May 18th, in West Baden Springs on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to Indiana State Police reports, Trooper Noah Ewing and other officers were at Fast Eddie’s Service Station in West Baden when a bystander alerted them to a possibly intoxicated individual at the gas pumps.

Officers then observed 21-year-old Raymond J. Knepp of Odon reportedly stumbling before entering the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Following observations that indicated signs of impairment, Knepp was taken to IU Health in Paoli for a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content.

After the test, Knepp was transported to the Orange County Jail on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.

An arrest or criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
