2025 Mitchell High School Seniors in the Spotlight

MITCHELL- As the final days of the school year wind down, the Mitchell High School Class of 2025 is preparing to celebrate graduation and the achievements that have defined their time on campus. This year’s seniors have distinguished themselves through academic excellence, athletic accomplishments, and dedication to community service. With eyes set on the future, members of the class are making plans to attend colleges and trade schools, enlist in the military, or enter the workforce—each ready to take the next step beyond the halls of Mitchell High School.

Gabriel Brazzel

Senior Spotlight: Wrestling and working out have been more than just hobbies—they’ve been a way of life. Whether pushing through tough practices or hitting the gym to stay in peak condition, he’s shown discipline, strength, and dedication every step of the way. Always striving to be better, he’s built both muscle and mindset for whatever comes next.

With goals of becoming a firefighter, he’s ready to face challenges head-on and make a difference in his community.

Jocelyn Elizabeth Drake

Senior Spotlight: â€‹Jocelyn is a four-year member of the softball team and the winterguard team, serving as captain all four years. She also spent three years on the co-ed soccer team and enjoys dancing at L and L Dance Studio in Mitchell. Outside of sports and performing, Jocelyn loves spending time with family and friends—or relaxing with a good nap.​

Jocelyn plans on pursuing a four-year degree in elementary special education.

Carl Chenault

Senior Spotlight: Carl has been active in athletics and clubs throughout high school, playing four years of Varsity Soccer (one as captain), two years of JV Basketball (MVP), two years of Varsity Basketball (Most Improved and Defensive Player), and one year of Varsity Golf (Mental Attitude Award). He’s a four-year SADD member, participated in HOSA, and earned honors in 4-H Cat Club. Outside of school, he played Orbit Soccer from ages 4–16, spent three years on a travel soccer team, and one year on the Bloomington Defenders AAU basketball team, winning two tournament titles. Carl enjoys pickleball, video games, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.​

Carl plans to begin taking online prerequisite courses through Ivy Tech before transferring to either the Terre Haute or Sellersburg campus to enter the Medical Imaging program. 

Zeke Dillman

Senior Spotlight: Zeke enjoys listening to music, spending time with his pets, and creating art. He stays actively involved in school through Art Club, the Student Council Executive Board, National Honor Society, Recycling Club, Bring Change 2 Mind, and Peer Leaders. With creativity and leadership at his core, Zeke is leaving a lasting impact.

Zeke plans to attend Ivy Tech and Indiana State University to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.

Raven Gilleo

Senior Spotlight: He’s been active in sports throughout high school, competing in discus, shot put, and soccer. Whether throwing for distance or scoring on the field, he’s shown dedication and teamwork in every game and event. His athleticism and drive are sure to take him far, both in sports and in life!

Raven is planning to work with the Department of Natural Resources.

Lucas Gosnell

Senior Spotlight: â€‹Lucas has made a strong impact during his four years of high school football, earning All-State and All-Conference honors his senior year, along with being named Defensive Player of the Year and Special Teams Player of the Year. He also played two years of basketball, showcasing his athletic versatility and commitment to teamwork and excellence.

Lucas is a certified welder and is exploring the possibility of continuing his athletic journey by playing college football.

Kaidance Grimes

Senior Spotlight: Kaidance has a deep love for photography, always capturing the beauty in the world around her. When she’s not behind the camera, you’ll find her spending quality time with her loyal companion, Daisy, a beautiful chocolate pit who’s always by her side. Whether it’s taking pictures or just enjoying life with Daisy, Kaidance’s passion for both art and animals shines through in everything she does. The world is her canvas—can’t wait to see what she captures next!

Kaidance will pursue her passion for photography after graduation.

Cadie Haley

Senior Spotlight: Cadie has been a dedicated and active member of her school community, serving as a 7-member of Mitchell Dance and currently holding leadership roles as Key Club President and National Honor Society Vice President. She’s also a peer leader, a member of Student Council, Art Club, and the Academic Team, as well as a passionate Special Olympics volunteer. In addition to all her school involvement, Cadie proudly supports her community as a newly sworn member of Tri Kappa. With her leadership, compassion, and commitment, Cadie’s impact on her school and community is undeniable.

Cadie is headed to Indiana University Bloomington, where she will pursue a major in Recreational Therapy and a minor in Psychology.

Josalyn Hill

Senior Spotlight: She has shown incredible leadership and dedication throughout her time in Winter Guard and Color Guard, where she was selected as captain every year for four years! Beyond her passion for performing, she is also deeply involved in several volunteer opportunities, with a special love for working with families of children with special needs. Her heart for helping others, combined with her leadership skills, will surely take her far in all she does!

She will attend the University of Evansville, where she plans to study Social Work and Psychology. Her ultimate goal is to attend Law School and earn her master’s degree.
