FRANKLIN – Bedford North Lawrence finished 11th in the 13-team Franklin Invitational during boys high school golf action on Saturday at The Legends.
The Stars struggled to a team total of 350. Center Grove won the event with 301, while Carmel and Franklin posted 312s.
Tyler Bellush paced BNL with 83, Evan Tillett carded 86, and Coleson Stiles finished with 87.
”It was rough conditions, but we just didn’t play well overall,” BNL coach Trey Turner said. “Ball striking wasn’t there, and we just weren’t getting up and down the way you need to when the ball striking isn’t there.
“We have some time to work on things and get some stuff cleaned up.”
Westfield’s Will Harvey, a Purdue recruit, was the medalist with a 5-under 67. Drew Hardin paced Center Grove with an even-par 72.
The Stars will visit Seymour on Monday.
