LAWRENCE CO. – Motorists who travel Donica Church Road between Little Salt Creek Run and Judah Logan Road should plan for a temporary closure next week.
Lawrence County Highway Superintendent Brian Sowder announced that this section of the road will be paved on Monday, May 19, 2025.
The road will be closed to all traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. and is expected to reopen around 3:00 p.m. on the same day.
According to Superintendent Sowder, flashing road closed signs have been placed at each end of Donica Church Road to inform residents of the upcoming work.
As with all road projects, this schedule is weather dependent, and residents are advised to pay attention to the signage for any updates or changes to the plan.
The Lawrence County Highway Department appreciates the public’s patience as it works to improve the county’s infrastructure.
