INDIANA—Gov. Mike Braun and the Indiana Department of Transportation have announced the award of more than $200 million in Community Crossings matching grants for local road and bridge projects in 245 Indiana cities, towns, and counties.

The program, aimed at improving and maintaining local infrastructure, awarded grants to numerous communities across the state, including several in the Radius region and the Southwest Indiana Development Council.

- Salem – $194,595
- Saltillo – $146,403
- Shoals – $271,411
- Washington – $260,754
- Washington County – $1.5 million

The Community Crossings program is funded by the state’s local road and bridge matching grant fund. Since its inception in 2016, the program has provided over $2 billion for local road improvement projects.
