LAWRENCE CO. – Motorists anticipating freshly paved roads on Gas Line Road today must wait another day. Lawrence County Highway Superintendent Brian Sowder announced this morning that the scheduled paving for Gas Line Road has been pushed back to Tuesday, May 13th.
The paving was decided to be postponed due to the inclement weather that is expected to arrive in the area today. Superintendent Sowder stated that paving is best done under dry conditions to ensure the longevity and quality of the new road surface.
Residents and commuters who utilize Gas Line Road should plan accordingly for the revised schedule. Weather permitting, the paving is now expected to occur tomorrow, Tuesday, May 13th. If there are any additional changes, further updates will be provided.
