WASHINGTON—The Washington Police Department (WPD) is proud to announce that Officer Aaron Guzman has become the department’s first certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
Officer Guzman recently completed over 100 hours of rigorous training in Zionsville, Indiana, and Jacksonville, Florida, to obtain this specialized certification. As a certified DRE, Officer Guzman is now equipped to assist the WPD and other law enforcement agencies in identifying individuals who may be operating vehicles while impaired by narcotics. His expertise will be a valuable asset in enhancing public safety initiatives throughout the region.
