SOUTH BEND – A South Bend man is in jail on felony drug dealing charges following an Indiana State Police drug investigation that began with a neighborhood complaint.
The Indiana State Police began this investigation several weeks ago after receiving a complaint from a neighborhood about suspected drug dealing at 3602 Edison Street, Apt. 5. This investigation progressed and ultimately led to a search warrant being issued and served at 8:41 a.m. on April 29, 2025.
Troopers located approximately 2 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. This resulted in Lance Marietta, 38 of South Bend, being arrested for charges that include dealing methamphetamine, Level 2 felony, possession of meth, Level 3 felony, maintaining a common nuisance, Level 6 felony, and neglect of a dependent, Level 5 felony.
Marietta was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
At the time of the warrant, four children ranging in age from 1 to 15 were in the home. The Indiana Department of Child Services was called and responded to the scene. They continued their investigation throughout the day, and the children were ultimately placed with a relative.
