MARTINSVILLE – Nathan Bailey, 59, of Morgan County, is facing over 30 charges related to child exploitation and possessing child pornography after his arrest last week. He appeared in court on Monday.

Investigators allege Bailey paid for and shared videos and images depicting adults engaged in sex acts with infants. An investigating officer testified that some videos found on Bailey’s phone contained audio of a child screaming and crying. Authorities say Bailey traded at least one Apple gift card for such content. Detectives reportedly found 24 videos and 10 images of child sexual abuse.
The investigation was initiated after a tip from the group “Bikers Against Predators,” whose members confronted Bailey at his home. The group’s president stated they tracked Bailey through another individual and obtained a confession on camera before contacting police.
According to testimony, Bailey admitted to having a problem, undergoing online therapy, and researching potential punishments. In court, Bailey stated he has an intellectual disability and the mental capacity of a 10-year-old. Investigators reported Bailey acknowledged knowing his actions were wrong.
Bailey is currently held on a $20,000 cash bail, which he stated he cannot afford. His jury trial is scheduled for September 9, 2025.
