BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly threatening a neighbor with a bow and violating an active protective order.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Bedford Police Officer Sarah Haluda, who took Lesley J. Walls, 42, into custody, who now faces a charge of invasion of privacy.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., Bedford Police officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of R Street in response to a report of threats. The 911 caller stated that his neighbor was threatening him with a BB gun and then reported that the man now had a bow.
Another neighbor told Officer Haluda that Walls had been harassing him all day, continuously yelling threats such as “I’m going to kill you” and “call the cops on you,” directed at him. He provided Officer Haluda with an active protective order against Walls, explicitly stating that Walls was not to have weapons. The neighbor reported that Walls had consistently violated the order since the Bedford Police Department served it on April 26.
Walls was taken into custody and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Walls’ sister reportedly located the bow in a closet in Walls’ bedroom.
Walls was already out on bond for other pending criminal charges at the time of this incident.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This article is based on the information provided in the Probable Cause Affidavit and does not represent a final determination of guilt or innocence.
