MITCHELL– South Lawrence Utilities has issued a boil water advisory effective immediately for residents and businesses located on Twin Bridges Road and Old Palestine Road. The order is in place until further notice.
The precautionary measure was implemented after a contractor struck a main water line in the area.
Crews are currently on-site working to repair the damaged water main.
Residents and businesses in the affected area are advised to boil all water intended for consumption for at least five minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and washing dishes. This precaution is recommended until testing confirms the water is safe to drink.
South Lawrence Utilities will provide an update when the boil order is lifted.
