Marsha Dianne Ryan, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 2:27 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born February 14, 1948, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Elza J. and Beatrice Mae (Colglazer) Chandler. She married Rickie L. Ryan on August 26, 1966, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2019. She retired as a secretary at the Lawrence County Complex. She was a member of the Pinhook Christian Church and formerly attended Dive Christian Church. She loved her Bible, her family, and birds.
Survivors include a son, Ricky D. Ryan, and wife, Amy, of Montgomery, IL; grandchildren, Wesley Ryan and wife, Kirsten, Steven Ryan, Eve Campbell, and Hannah Campbell, a sister, Jeannette (Net) Silvers and husband, Billy, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; Sisters-in-law, Marilyn Chandler, Rosalee ‘Sis’ Chandler, and Sherry Turner; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Virginia (Robert) Hawley; two brothers, Russell ‘Rocky’ Chandler and Arnold Chandler; a brother-in-law, Steve Turner; and a sister-in-law, Sue Ryan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1st, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary, with Quinn Wisley officiating. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marsha’s memory to the Pinhook Christian Church, the Ronald McDonald House, or the family would appreciate potted plants.
