Trooper Noah Ewing honored for outstanding efforts in combating impaired driving in Jasper District

JASPER – Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott presented Trooper Noah Ewing with the prestigious Jasper District Top OWI Award earlier today, recognizing his exceptional commitment to road safety. Trooper Ewing apprehended an impressive 30 individuals for driving under the influence in 2024.

A nine-year veteran of the Indiana State Police, Trooper Ewing is originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from the 75th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in November 2015. Following his graduation, he was assigned to the Jasper Post and has primarily patrolled Orange County. Trooper Ewing also recently served on the Jasper District All-Crimes Policing Team, where he focused on drug interdiction and detecting impaired drivers.

His academic achievements further underscore Trooper Ewing’s dedication to law enforcement. He holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of Beaver County in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University. His expertise extends beyond patrol duties, as he is a certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), a Firearms Instructor, a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor, and a Hostage Negotiator.

Indiana State Police Jasper District Commander Lieutenant Brock Werne expressed his immense pride in Trooper Ewing’s dedication, stating, “I couldn’t be prouder of Trooper Ewing’s commitment to making our communities safer for all of us.”
