BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Highway Department is currently seeking applications for a mechanic position at its garage facility. This is an opportunity for individuals with basic mechanical aptitude to join the team responsible for maintaining the county’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.
The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of essential maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire replacement, as well as a basic understanding of mechanics.
The starting pay for this position is $22.41 per hour, with a 90-day probationary period.
