Steven Allen Staggs, 71, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Born on October 30, 1953, in Bedford, he was the son of the late Harvey Staggs and Esther Jones Staggs. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, where he played basketball. He worked for IUPUI EMS and the Dunn Ambulance Service. Steven was a US Army Veteran from 1973 to 1976 in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Steven are one son, Steven Staggs; two daughters, Katelyn Staggs and Audrey Staggs; grandchildren, Bree, Callie, Evalyn, Matthew, Gracelynn, and Zaniah; one brother, Robert (Donna) Staggs; one sister, Nadra Sanders; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Steven in death are his parents, Harvey Staggs and Esther (Jones) Staggs; one brother, Johnny Staggs; two sisters, Brenda Brock and Joyce Blubaugh.
Services for Steven are private. The care and arrangements for Steven have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
