OOLITIC—The Oolitic Town Board will hold a public meeting to discuss the establishment of a Cumulative Capital Development Fund. The meeting will take place at Main Street, Oolitic, IN, on Monday, April 21st, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting’s purpose is to allow Lawrence County taxpayers to hear and provide input on the proposed fund, which will be established under Indiana Code IC 36-9-15.5.
The proposed tax for the fund will be levied on all taxable real and personal property within the taxing district and will not exceed $0.05 per $100 of assessed valuation. This tax is proposed to begin with taxes due and payable in 2026.
Taxpayers attending the meeting will have the opportunity to express their opinions and concerns regarding establishing the fund.
