Seymour man arrested on drug dealing charges following trailer park investigation

SEYMOUR – A 29-year-old Seymour man is facing multiple drug-related charges following an investigation conducted by the Seymour Police Department over the weekend at a local trailer park.

According to a press release from the Seymour Police Department, officers were investigating potential drug activity at a residence located within the Village Green Trailer Park. During their initial contact with the residents, officers reported detecting the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the home.

Based on this observation, law enforcement officials obtained and executed a search warrant for the property. The subsequent search allegedly yielded a significant quantity of illegal substances and related items. Officers reported discovering more than one ounce of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, several firearms, scales, plastic baggies commonly used for drug distribution, and over $40,000 in cash.

As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Devin Moore of Seymour was arrested. He is currently facing preliminary charges, including dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Moore is currently being held pending further legal proceedings.
