City of Bloomington Utilities issues precautionary Boil Water Advisory for 15 addresses

BLOOMINGTON– Due to scheduled maintenance, 15 addresses on South High Street (Covenanter) and East Hillside Drive will be under a precautionary Boil Water Advisory from 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9th,  until 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11, unless otherwise notified. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requires all public water systems to issue a precautionary Boil Water Advisory when the pressure drops below 20 psi in the water main. Those affected should follow these instructions: 

  • Immediately after your normal water pressure is restored, run COLD water from a sink or tub until clear water flows from the faucet.
  • Boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene for at least 5 minutes before consumption.
  • It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.

Affected customers with up-to-date contact information with CBU Customer Service were alerted directly. Customers can use the form at bton.in/cbu24 to update their contact information electronically.
