First Annual Martin County CEO Trade Show showcases student business

MARTIN CO.– The Martin County Community Building at the 4H Fairgrounds will host the inaugural Martin County CEO Trade Show this Sunday, offering a unique opportunity to support and witness the entrepreneurial spirit of local high school students.

Todd Baker, the facilitator for the first-year program, invites the community to attend the show, which will feature a diverse range of student-run businesses. Baker encourages people to bring cash, as the students will have various items and services.

The trade show, scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, will showcase students’ efforts from Loogootee and Shoals High Schools. Fourteen booths will be set up, each representing a student’s business venture from products to services. Attendees can expect various offerings, from tangible products to valuable services.

Baker explained that this is a fantastic opportunity for the community to see local students’ hard work and creativity. These students have developed their businesses from the ground up, and this trade show is their chance to present their work to the public.

The Martin County CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program aims to cultivate entrepreneurial skills in high school students and provide them with real-world experience in business development. The trade show serves as a culmination of their efforts, allowing them to showcase their businesses and interact with potential customers.
