BNL Star System Percussion advances to State Finals after strong prelims performance

BROWNSBURG – The Bedford North Lawrence (BNL) Star System Percussion group has earned a spot in the Indiana Percussion Association (IPA) State Finals after a stellar performance at the State Prelims on Saturday, March 22nd.

The group showcased their show, “Welcome to Our Circus,” at Brownsburg High School, competing against 19 other bands in Concert Class A. The Star System Percussion, known for its use of various non-marching instruments, captivated the audience with a dynamic performance that incorporated diverse musical pieces, theatrical elements, and circus-themed acts.

Attendees were treated to a unique blend of instrumental artistry, spoken word, and character-driven performances, creating a captivating and immersive experience.

Out of the 20 groups that performed, the BNL Star System Percussion placed a commendable 8th, securing their advancement to the IPA State Finals.

The State Finals will be held at Indiana State University this Saturday, March 29th, where the Star System Percussion will showcase their talent and creativity again.

The community is invited to cheer on the BNL Star System Percussion as they compete for top honors at the state level.
