James ‘Mark’ Godsey, 64, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at Deaconess Henderson Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2025.
He was born on May 22, 1960, in Bedford, Indiana, to James Leroy and Norma Jean (Seidle) Godsey. Mark married his wife, Victoria L. (Brummett) Godsey, on February 16, 1991.
Mark worked at General Electric’s Bloomington Plant, retiring after 20 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, taking Jeep rides, and, in his earlier days, stock car racing.
The family left to cherish Mark’s memory includes his wife, Vickie Godsey; daughter, Samantha (Josh) Bogard of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Malikhai and Violett; brother, Darren (Peggy) Godsey of Fayetteville; and sister, Tracy (Scott) Holtsclaw.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, James Leroy and Norma Jean (Seidle) Godsey Farrell, infant son, James Leroy Godsey, and stepfather, Paul Farrell.
Funeral services for Mark will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Pastor Millard Jones officiating. Mark will be laid to rest in Kilgore Cemetery in Raglesville. Family and friends, my call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
