BEDFORD- The National Kidney Foundation, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Health, will offer a free Community Kidney Check for Bedford residents on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The event will be held at StoneGate Arts and Education Center, 931 15th Street, Bedford, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
This preventative health screening aims to identify individuals at risk for kidney disease, which affects approximately 37 million American adults. Early detection is crucial, as kidney disease often shows no symptoms until advanced stages.
The screening will include:
- Blood pressure check
- Body mass index (BMI) calculation
- Blood and urine testing
- Consultation with health professionals
You don’t need to make an appointment. Participants are encouraged to arrive early as screenings will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Flyers with additional information are being distributed throughout the community.
