PEKIN– Five individuals were arrested on drug-related charges following the service of a warrant in Pekin late Wednesday.
Troopers from the Sellersburg Post 45 initially responded to an address off SR 60 just south of Pekin near the Clark County line to serve an outstanding probation violation warrant on 53-year-old Edna Murphy. Trooper Kyle Taylor had received information that Murphy was staying at that location.
Upon arrival, troopers located Murphy and obtained a search warrant for the premises based on observations at the scene. The subsequent search, which continued into the early morning hours of Thursday, resulted in the discovery of over 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of five individuals.
Those arrested and their respective charges are:

Edna Murphy, 53, Pekin: Initial warrant for probation violation; Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony); Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony); Possession of Marijuana (B Misdemeanor); Possession of Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor).
